South Omo Zone (or Debub Omo Zone) is a zone in the Ethiopian Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR). Debub Omo is bordered on the south by Kenya, on the southwest by the South Sudan, on the west by Bench Maji, on the northwest by Keffa, on the north by KontaGamo Gofa and Basketo, on the northeast by Dirashe and Konso, and on the east by the Oromia Region. The administrative center of Debub Omo is Jinka.

This private day tour from Addis Ababa takes you through the scenic East African Rift Valley part of Ethiopia to the unique rock carved church of Adadi Mariam which built in 12th century , ancient grave site of Tiya (UNESCO World Heritage), and experience the daily life of locals with family visit and community.

Day 01- Addis flight Jinka

 After breakfast transferred you from hotel to airport. 2hours flight arrived Jinka. late afternoon visit   Ari museum and Ari village (the largest tribe in Omo valley) overnight Jinka

Day 02- – Jinka – Mago – mursi

Take a day excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of the exotic ethnic groups in Ethiopia. They live in very low huts made of straw leaves. The women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes.

Drive Jinka to Turmi home of the Hamer people On the way stop in Dimeka if the day you arrive Monday or Saturday admire the very colorful markets of the Hamer and Dassanech tribs are famous for their hairstyles, ornaments, culture and more… late afternoon see the traditional bull jumping (if there) night dancing of the Hamer people known as Evangadi Overnigh Turmi.

Day 03- Omorate-Turmi

Morning drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dasennech tribe near kenya border.afternoon drive back to turmi. late afternoon if their market day visit market having rest, overnight turmi.

Day 04- Turmi_konso

Early in the morning drive to karo tribe (known by their body painting) Depart from Turmi to the villages of Murulle, Kolcho and Dus on the shores of the Omo River. The Karo people are the smallest in number of all of the tribes of the Omo Valley, and they are known for their elaborate decorations, particularly during local ceremonies.  visit karo then drive to konso UNESCO world heritage site, late afternoon visit konso village and beautiful terracing system. overnight konso.

Day 05- konso-arbaminch: Dorze:

Early in the morning drive to arbaminch take boat trip to crocodile market, where you can visit the longest nile crocodile just in a metres distance. late afternoon short hiking in nechsar national park the lush forest plus natural swimming bath. then drive to guge mountain where the dorze community live, Dorze village who are expert in weaving called Shammas. The shape of their house looks Elephant, in order to remember the existence of these animals around the area many years ago. Enset “fake banana” is the stable food for these peoples. Overnight in dorze.

Day 06- Dorze to Addis Abeba:

Drive from Dorze to Addis through tiya stilla’s Tiya is an ancient stellae field, with anthropomorphic statues marking burial grounds. Tiya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

then ADDIS ABEBA transfer you to either hotel or airport.
